This kit is designed to offer the consumer that either has or bought an EGR deleted ported intake manifold an easy and trouble free way to complete their intake manifold installation so coolant can flow at OEM flow rates. While there isn’t a whole lot to this kit, the components are engineered exactly for this use. This kit uses a special nylon Tee that is 3/4 inch on two ends and 5/8 inch in the middle, as the hose that connects to the oil cooler outlet is 5/8 inch but the heater core hose is 3/4 inch. Hose clamps keep everything secured and a HD nylon 3/8 inch 3-way Tee takes care of the degas bottle hose that use to connect to the coolant portion of the intake manifold. The hose used in this kit is not your normal Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware heater hose. It is made out of HD silicone hose that is rated for 200 psi pressures and 350F temperatures. This kit is an option that can be added when purchasing our Stage 3 6.0 intake manifold and we recommend purchasing it that way as it is cheaper and shipping is not added to the kit when it is just tacked onto a manifold purchase. The purpose of this listing is to give more info on what the kit does. So how does this kit work?? Well the kit includes a 3/4 inch freeze plug that is tapped into the water pump cover on the motor. The 5/8 silicone hose connects the oil cooler outlet to the heater core hose (behind the max A/C control valve) via the 3/4×5/8×3/4 Tee fitting that is spliced into it. And the 3/8×3/8×3/8 Tee fitting seals off the degas bottle by taking the original vent hose (that ran from the coolant portion of the intake manifold to the degas bottle), cutting it in half, and splicing one of the halts into the degas hose that runs from the radiator to the degas bottle.
